What are rules and how do they work?

In Bottle, we use Rules to create automations of all types. You can automate just about anything using the Rules, including automated text messages for abandoned carts, automated text messages to get a response back, and even sending an automatic invoice. 

Our Rules use an if, then algorithm. The rule will pick up the IF you have inputted, it will then find the THEN that you've matched with it to complete the action. For example: you can setup a rule under the 'Inbound Message Rules' that sends automatically sends out a text back to a customer if they text in something like "Hi". So IF the customer texts in "Hi", THEN send back "Hi! Welcome to Bottle". 

This Rules section will serve to help you explore the different types of automations and actions you can take using the rules.
